Learn a little more about the watch

IN SEARCH OF A LEGEND

Finding an original Jaguar E-Type part isn't that difficult, but finding one in aluminium is much harder. From the very first design sketches, we knew this would be a demanding quest. After months of intensive research and discussions with car enthusiasts, we finally found our treasure near Paris: an aluminium bonnet that belonged to a 1962 semi-lightweight E-Type, registration 1480WK, which won the 2020 Auto Tour. This iconic model, known for its participation in legendary races, had an exceptional history that we wanted to capture.

THE E-TYPE: ELEGANCE AND PERFORMANCE

Few sports cars have become as emblematic of a genre and an era in automotive design and adrenalin-fuelled racing as the Jaguar E-Type. So much so that Enzo Ferrari himself declared it the most beautiful car ever conceived when it was launched in 1961. Aimed at the general public and amateur sports car enthusiasts, the E-Type was designed and built to be perfect on the road. However, it soon made its debut on the racing circuit, winning several competitions in the capable hands of both amateur and professional drivers.

THE DESIGN PROCESS OF OUR WATCH

The design process was crucial and took two years of hard work, as well as several essential prototyping phases with our designer Xavier Perrenoud. Our main goal was to offer a chic, elegant watch in the image of the Jaguar E-Type that would pay a sincere and meticulous tribute to it through its design.
