The origins of our watches are born out of the desire to provide members of our community with the opportunity to acquire a unique piece of automotive history. Iconic cars like the Aston Martin DB5 have the right to be appreciated by all those who appreciate its design and history. We offer this possibility by integrating a part of this mythical car in our timepieces.
After a year of R&D, Atelier Jalaper has accomplished a real technical challenge. Our mission: to create a watch that offers its owner a fragment of an automotive legend. This is not just a figure of speech. Each Atelier Jalaper watch physically and visibly integrates an authentic part of an Aston Martin DB5.
The AJ001-S pays tribute to the timeless design of the DB5 through its composition and references. This model offers a date display at 3 o'clock, a 42-hour power reserve and a high-quality brushed steel case. The patina of the dial reminds its owner at every glance that he wears a legend on his wrist!
The design process, which is crucial, required a year and a half of hard work, multiple work sessions, back and forth with our designers as well as several essential prototyping phases. Our very first priority : the perfection of the design before the technical constraints and not the opposite.
